paint, sweep, mop, repeat

I finally was able to sit and think about MY life in MY house. After 2 hours of painting, I decided to take a break and have a picnic in the master bedroom. I was by myself because everyone else was at work, so as I sat there thinking and eating my pretzels, I realized that I am very happy at this spot in my life. Granted, I am not doing well in biology lecture but other than that I have no complaints whatsoever. I can't believe that I am so young and able to buy a house with the person in my life that makes me happier than I have ever been before.

Last night I went home and picked up the dogs and we went to wal mart and got some things to line the drawers and cupboards with, some dish soap, which might I add was on sale for $1.00, pretty cool huh? Then I got oh so excited because we had wanted to put new toilet seats on, and i was thinking that they were going to be about 20 bucks each, WELL, when I got to wal mart, i was so excited to find that the same toilet seat that was 20 bucks was also 5 bucks. So I got two! I wouldn't put them on until Josh got there but it was fun! There's something nice about knowing that nobody elses butt germs have been on the nice new toilet seat.

I got the green up in the house, and when Josh came home from work that day he said he didnt like the way it looked over the fireplace mantle, so I have to go buy new paint tonight. A tan-ish color that we are going to put on some of the walls through the rest of the house. So one wall is going to stay the green as the accent wall. The dogs don't seem to like the house too much yet. Everytime I take them over there they stick to my legs like glue. I tried to feed them last night and only lance ate, of course. I guess once we get in there and get our own stuff put up then they will be used to it. Im going to buy the tan-ish paint tonight, along with the yellow, called sugar cookie, for my scrapbook room, and the blue, called waterfall for our bedroom. Don't worry, they are light colors. Then I found an ultra cool website where I can purchase quotes that are already made to put on the wall. they are about 40 bucks, but they are huge and the perfect size! I think once I get everything moved in then I will order them and get them slapped on the wall. I think they will look very nice.
